Very Light weight but performs A-OK. October 4, 2008 Smaller than a pro model but compared to the cost of a pro unit it performs as expected.
Back Pack Blower September 29, 2008 So far so good. For a supposed reconditioned item (it looks brand new) I'm completely satisfied. Took a little bit to figure out how the straps are oriented (still don't think I have it right) but its a heck of a lot easier to walk around my property with the think on my shoulders/back as opposed to flipping from one arm to the other
AAAAA11111 September 25, 2008 This Item arrived very fast, and was exactly what was discribed. Item started very fast and was very efficent on gas consumption
Very displeased September 20, 2008 I hadn't checked the blower out since I received it til yesterday. I followed the set up instructions and attempted to start it. It ran for about a minute then stopped. I reviewed the instructions noting that I did everything correctly and attempted again to keep it running. After adjusting the choke differently than instructed, I finally got it to run. It idled very nicely til I tried to use it to actually do what it was intended to do, blow leaves, and the unit stalled. It would restart okay, then as soon as you accelerate it would stall. I have been an automobile mechanic for 29 years and I know that the carburator needs to be rebuilt on this unit to get it to operate the way it was advertised. I would like to return this unit as soon as possible and receive a total refund. This is the first time I have had a problem with Amazon and I know that I will be taken care of. Please notify me of prepaid shipping instructions as soon as possible.
Good product bad workmanship September 9, 2008 Factory Reconditioned Homelite 26cc Gas Powered MightyLite Backpack Blower (Non-CARB Compliant) #ZR08580
Arrived quickly as usual, filled with gas/oil mixture and struggled to start, kept on cutting out, eventually started and got it onto my back. I used it for about 15 minutes and it cut out and would not start again. The Primer Bulb was empty and so I pumped it but no gas came through.
As this is a hazardous item you have to go through a special Amazon department to return - who don't answer the phone! As I was waiting I read through some of the reviews and found one that talked about fuel line and fuel overflow lines being mixed up and it sounded a lot like what was wrong with this blower - swapped them around and now the blower works very well - so thats why I says good product bad workmanship.
