This is an amazing little charger that literally breathes new life into your failing DeWalt batteries. It revitalizes everything from 9.6 volts through the big 18-volters, but what's so great about this charger is that not only can it be used as a standard quick charger, but if you leave a worn-down battery in for four to 10 hours, the charger conditions the battery with a tune-up mode, and at completion, it automatically converts to trickle charge, so you'll never damage a battery by leaving it in the charger too long.Diagnostics with LED indicators give you the battery status at a glance: charged, charging, power line problem, replace pack, and battery too hot or too cold. Fixed battery problem July 24, 2008
I received the product as promised, in time and in good condition. I plugged my dead battery into it and let it sit for several hours, then plugged the other battery in for its cycle. Both batteries had not been charged properly for a couple of years since the original charger died but are apparently no worse for the wear and have continued to hold a charge since they were recharged. Excellent! My batteries are Firestorm for B&D 3/8" 12 vdc drill motor and are several years old. They fit into this charger perfectly.
Just what I Needed July 17, 2008
I have a firestorm cordless drill. The charger went bad over a year ago. I could not find another one. I had put the drill in storage . I bought this charger at a real good price. It charged my old firestorm battery in 45 minutes. new life for a old cordless drill. Great charger at a very good price.

This charger worked flawlessly on my 14.4V battery for my Black and Decker cordless drill. The price was considerably less than an a identical product sold at a local home store. Shipping was prompt. A great buy!

This was purchased to replace a Black & Decker unit. I was concerned that it would work, but other than some difficulty in getting the batteries into the unit at first, it works just fine. This was much cheaper than the B&D unit but works just as well.
