Amazon.com Product Review Bravo to Black & Decker for two great innovations on this electric mower. First, the flip-over handle! You get to the end of a pass, flip the handle and head back the other way in an instant. Next, users will especially appreciate the one-touch lever that raises and lowers all four wheels at once from 1 inch to 3-1/2 inches, saving the trouble of adjusting each wheel's height. It's about time. In addition, the electric 12-amp motor means hassle-free starting, no gas/oil mixes, no fumes, less noise, and no battery to charge. The cushioned handle adjusts for the user's height, another nice touch not available on most mowers. It mulches beautifully, but if you prefer, you can purchase a side bag. Electric mowers have their naysayers, but if you're in the market for one, you can't beat this.--Kris Jensen-Van Heste

Forest thru the trees August 15, 2008 A lawn mower is a tool, the old expression the right tool for the right job comes to mind.
If you do not have a large lawn this is an excellent mower. If you are also just interested in cutting the lawn rather than have perfect turf this is a good choice.
If you have a large lawn a gas powered self propelled lawn mower is the better choice.
If you think you are going to have a silent mower, you will not. If you think you are going to save a considerable amount of money by switching from gas, you will not. If you think that you will not have to worry about future repairs, remember this is a tool with a motor and parts, things may go wrong.
Bottom line is this cuts the grass.
I have this mower as a spare, got it used at a garage sale and use it when I want some exercise.
I have a large lawn and follow my own advice.
Great electric mower August 6, 2008 I paid $200 including freight plus tax. For the money, this is a great mower. I love the convenience of the flip handle. The only reason I only give it 4 stars is because of it's limitations. But for the money, this is worth 5 stars.
7 Yrs Old and Still Cutting July 28, 2008 I bought this mower in 2001 and it is still mulching away in my 19'x 75' townhouse lawn. It's never caused me an ounce of trouble and with regular sharpening has done everything I've asked it.
If I let the lawn go and the grass gets really high, I just move the blade up and cut it twice. The smell, hassle and danger of keeping gasoline around just isn't worth it if you have a lawn small enough to tackle with this mower.
Great when it is working June 30, 2008 So I bought this mower in the spring after not having had a mower for about 10 years. It had some nice features like the flip over handle and it was a mulching mower and thanks to Amazon---a GREAT price. It worked right out of the box and I was a happy mower until yesterday when I went to mow there was no power. I checked everything it could be but no luck. Will contact Black and Decker today and see what they do since it is obviously still under warranty...
Really good June 21, 2008 This mower is excellent. What more to say? Only one complaint: The black plastic near the orange handle to turn it on needs to be filed down. When I went to use it for the first time it was so sharp it cut my finger a bit.
