Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.com Product Description Incredibly easy to use, this electric lawn and garden timer from Gilmour keeps your yard looking its best, even during hot summer months. The two-dial system with electronic keypad is a snap to set: Simply press Enter and listen for the audio beep to confirm program entry; the system will then repeat the watering cycle at the interval set. You can set the program to repeat every 24 hours or you can set it to skip a day. You can also choose a repeat interval from once every six hours up to once every seventh day, and you can set the watering duration from two minutes up to 120 minutes. There are also manual on/off settings that let you water exactly how often you wish, and a swivel nut for easy connection to the faucet. The timer requires two AA alkaline batteries (not included).

Very good product July 25, 2008 The Gilmour Electric Water Timer is a quick and easy way to get your watering on a regular schedule. I had invested a significant amount of money and effort in soaker hoses and needed a way to regularly water my vegetable garden without forgetting to turn the water off each time! I have this water timer setup to water every 12 hours (morning and evening) for 20 minutes. It works great.
Battery cover leaks July 25, 2008 I purchased 4 of these last year and only one is functional this year. The problem is the battery cover leaks water in which ruins the timer. Also, the start button is really difficult to push. I'm trying a different model this year.
Disappointed July 25, 2008 I ordered three of the 9100's the first week of June, 2008. I was surprised that one of the units had completely stopped working by the second week of July and then a week later a second unit failed. Replacing the batteries did not help with either of the failed units so I will be returning all three units for a refund. The refund will only be a partial refund since it has been over 30 days since I made the purchase.
OK July 21, 2008 Works as advertised. Just kinda basic. It goes on and off, but few "programmable" features. OK for the price, though.
Not Reliable, don't buy this model, save your water. July 20, 2008 used it one season and towards the end of last summer i noticed the shut off valve was allowing water to continously pass thru. Ouch, how much water did i waste last year? Its a new season and i forgot all about that valve. I set it up and was testing the program and realized after the valve closed water was still getting by. I had to post this so others don't make the same mistake.
