Editorial Reviews:

Amazon.com Review
Do you need to water your lawn or garden but don't want to be bothered with running out to shut off the sprinkler system? This Gardena water timer may be just the solution you've been seeking. The small timer attaches directly to your outdoor spigot and operates similar to a conventional kitchen timer. Simply turn the dial face to the number of minutes you want your sprinkler running, and, when the time has elapsed, your system will be shut off automatically, saving you trouble and preventing the mess and damage caused by puddles. The unit also contains a quick connector that attaches to your hose and allows it to be easily and quickly joined to the timer without a lot of twisting.

5 out of 5 stars So far so good   August 17, 2008
Every timer we have ever bought has broken in less than a season. So far this timer is working perfectly. It needs to last more than two years to be considered worth it. Only time will tell

5 out of 5 stars best timer on the market!!!   August 3, 2008
This is the best manual timer on the market!!!... Others require water pressure, this does not, which is what you need for slow soaking in a garden... It's been my timer for years, and just had to finally get a replacement... Their quick connectors are also great, and make switching hoses or sprinklers a dream... Thank you Gardena!

5 out of 5 stars I love this item!   July 1, 2008
Last year I was given one of these timers as a gift. I just bought four more, one for every outdoor faucet. For a person who multi-tasks and who sometimes "forgets" that the water is running, these timers are wonderful! I live in Southern California, and the drought has resulted in my capturing shower water and bailing bath water and dishwater to help ease my use in the yard. I see the Gardena timer as another in my arsenal to save water!

There is no better timer - I've tried them all. They are so rugged they stand up to the acidic enviroment at the chemical plant where I work. I have standardized on this timer for all the rinse tanks. (and also my garden) There are $10 timers out there from big box hardware stores but they WILL fall apart before the season is over.

I've tried many other timers, which have failed after about 3 months of use. So far, after 1 month, this timer seems to work well.
