Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
With This Rock is Emmanuel White's first independent film which focuses on the city of Flint Michigan, and its assembly line that is second to only General Motors. According to Dick Vital, the city produces more professional athletes on a per capita basis, than any other place in the world. On the dawn of the new millennium, three young men from the small mid-western city of blue collar workers in Flint Michigan, captured the NCAA Men's Basketball Championship. The world would come to know Morris Peterson, Charlie Bell andMateen Cleaves, who lead Michigan Sate University to their second NCAA Men's Basketball Championship after 21 years, as the "Flint Stones."In the wake of the success, the city's Mayor, Woodrow Stanley would face a recall as competing professional Basketball leagues sought to bring a team to Flint. Business men would be exposed for unlawful or unethical practices, and the citizens are left to reflect on their fate in the mist of shrinking municipal resources, record levels of poverty andunemployment, and the brutality of law enforcement as the impact of drugs on the city's young, and gifted athletes are realized.Rev. Al Sharpton and Martin Luther King III visits the city in support of Mayor Stanley. Current and former star athletes return to the city to offer support in order to save the youth.
