Album Description Wanderlust is the debut solo album by Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale released by Interscope Records in June 2008. It is his first LP since Institute's Distort Yourself in 2005. The lead single "Love Remains The Same" was released digitally on April 1, 2008. The album was produced by Bob Rock and finds Rossdale collaborating with drummer Josh Freese, guitarist Chris Traynor (also formerly of Bush), bassist Paul Bushnell and keyboardist Jamie Muhoberac. Gavin was the lead singer/songwriter for the UK post-grunge rock band Bush. Their first album, Sixteen Stone (1994), was a huge commercial success. Almost overnight, Bush went from playing small pubs in London to headlining arenas in the US, the result of extensive, non-stop touring. Fast forward to 2008, married with children with Gwen Stefani of No Doubt fame.

Beautiful! October 12, 2008 I love this album. I loved Gavin Rossdale when he was Bush and I am not disappointed with his solo album. "Love Remains The Same" is to die from!
Gavin on his own September 13, 2008 I liked Gavin when he was the lead singer for Bush but I love his first solo album more than ever. I have sampled a few songs and am amazed and love his sound. I have seen the video for All that Remains and feel it is wonderful and done in very good taste and shows the real Gavin or at least musically anyway. I am a fan of his wife Gwen and her band as well. I have been searching of this CD as ever since seeing the first video released I fell in love with Gavin and his music all over again. WAY TO GO GAVIN I HOPE TO SEE YOU ON TOUR SOON!
Incredible July 31, 2008 This is the best cd I have bought for years. I love every song on it. That is so rare. Gavin expresses his thoughts and emotions extremely well both thru word and sound. Very emotive with an edgy sound. I loved Bush, but I actually am enjoying this solo project more completely. I would absolutely recommend this.
Ignore the wronged... July 28, 2008 I have always been a huge bush fan and I think Gavin Rossdale is awsome. So when I heard of this CD I ran in haste and got it... I am not going to lie to you and say the entire album rocks... Frankly it dont.... But I still gave it five stars cause of the songs that do rock on it, rock hard and I love them... Such as Can't stop the world, Forever may you run, love remains the same, this is happiness and the trouble that im in.... These songs stand out big time and though the others may not be amazing. Some flat out annoying... These five song alone make it worth the buy.... Because they have such raw emotion to them and the lyrics make it applyable to any situation.... I recommend this CD.... Ignored the bad reviews... You need to learn to ignore a closed mind.

A Bush CD this is not, but I don't think that was the intent. What this is is an honest, thought-provoking and beautiful solo effort by an artist who seems to have poured his soul and life experiences into this project. When I heard the CD for the first time a few days ago, it got under my skin and I haven't been able to stop listening. "Can't Stop the World", "Forever May You Run" and "Love Remains the Same" are a few of the songs that grabbed me right away. There are a couple of songs towards the end of the CD (like "If You're Not with us You are Against us") that I don't enjoy as much and that don't quite seem to fit with the rest of the music, but altogether this is a great album. If you love classic Peter Gabriel, Sarah McLachlan, etc., you may just find yourself drawn into Wanderlust.
