Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
The year's first artist album from the world's #1 DJ as voted in DJ Magazine's Top 100 poll. This is a more mature album, encompassing a mix of sounds, demonstrating Armin's growth as an artist. Includes some all-star collaborations and offers a broad range of sounds, from banging trance to smooth down tempo. Once again, Armin proves why he deserves his reputation not only as the world's top DJ, but also as a top producer.

5 out of 5 stars Just Imagine...   July 7, 2008
Just Imagine: Armin Van Buuren takes you to an amazing journey of his newest work with a great variety of styles. Me and my friend picked up my copy right on the day it came out.. and boy we weren't disappointed. My friend loved it so much and he is not even a trance fan.. until now! At first I was very surprised with the amount of vocal tracks.. and thought that maybe the album was going to get lost in a very repeated female vocal mix. But I was wrong! Each and every track on Imagine has a different style with uplifting and downbeat tunes.. all representing different styles of trance, and progressive house.

Imagine: what an amazing song.. a great start to a great album.. The different elements that Armin used for this song are just amazing.. The guitar combined with trance is just unbelievable.

Going Wrong: we all heard this song.. just an amazing commercial track. Dark beats and very melodic.

Unforgivable: Beautiful melancholic vocals and great uplifting progressive music. Great combination.

Face To Face: One of my favorite tracks.. this songs starts very slow and then lifts up.. I love the piano and the elements of this song. Very melancholic and Imaginative. This song is great to just kick back and relax to it. It opens up your mind and you will travel in a time zone which can be both real and surreal.

Hold On To Me: perhaps my least favorite track.. but still pretty uplifting and inspiring. It is actually a very cheesy track.

In And Out Of Love: Great female vocal song! break beat style with a melancholic flavor. You'll like it if your into downtempo vocal trance.

Never Say Never: Another great song.. great lyrics and a great build up of down tempo to uplifting trance.

Rain: simply a trance anthem.. not a lot of lyrics but just beautiful. This is a definitely Armin at his best! Elated and inspiring! "Rain.. in the Rain!"

What If: very electro-like/trancy.. buy yet an interesting track with some interesting lyrics.

Fine Without You: Another of my favorite tracks.. great bass combined with uplifting guitar sounds.. and well perfect lyrics and vocals from Jennifer Rene.. this should definitely be a future single release.

Intricacy: complex song.. defining progressive trance..

Overall this has been the album for my summer. Different styles and tastes. Armin's best album.. in my opinion. You won't be disappointed.. just open up to the music and simply Imagine!

1 out of 5 stars NOT THE ARMIN I KNOW!!!   June 17, 2008

This is awful!! Period, If YOU want quality stuff from Armin purchase ASOT 2006, Do not listen to the invalids who endorse this album. Anyone with half a brain knows this belongs in the trash. I have over 15 years experience, for music you will like, see my reviews.

5 out of 5 stars Just got one word - WOW   June 15, 2008
There are some DJs who establish themselves as #1 and then run out of creative energy to produce any original content that's actually worth listening. Armin is the exception. Besides churning out his State of Trance radio shows where the newest constantly seems to top the one week before, his original work in Imagine is a masterpiece - or more correctly, a compilation of several masterpieces.

5 out of 5 stars Best Trance Album In Years!   June 11, 2008
I wasn't always a huge Armin fan, but this album, and seeing him live has changed my mind. This is the best artist album since Just Be from Tiesto. If you are a female vocal trance fan, this is the album for you. The title track Going Wrong is the only male vocal song and is still one of my favorites. Even with it being predominately female vocals, every song sounds completely different. Catchy and meaningful lyrics keep the songs stuck in your head and dancing all night. His musical arrangement is genius. With every song being around 7 minutes, it would be easy for the songs to become repetitive, but they are not. Im telling you, this is a must have for any trance fan! You wont regret it!
