We currently enjoy a DIGITAL subscription to The Old Schoolhouse! It has all the benefits of the paper version (great articles, encouragement for homeschooling families, terrific resources), but has the added benefit of being available from any computer. No need to wait for it to arrive, and no need to be home to read it! Our subscription to the digital version also included a package of free downloads/e-books, the value of which more than paid for the subscription itself.

In our 6th year of homeschooling, you would think I finally have all the answers, right? (Well, I have SOME of the answers!) However, I find that every year brings NEW QUESTIONS! :-) and it is wonderful to have a magazine that encourages me right where I am in my homeschool journey, and yet stretches me with new ideas, new thoughts, new ways to look at my challenges, new joy in each season of homeschooling, new methods to bring to my differently-wired children who love to learn! Great reviews of books and curriculum, fantastic readable, usable articles, reading TOS feels like visiting with your best friend. I love this magazine dearly, I read every single word, cover to cover, and I wait excitedly for each and every issue. The best! M. in Texas, with 5 homeschooling sweeties.

After homeschooling for 9 years, I've read most of the homeschool magazines that are printed. I love this magazine! It is chock full of articles, ideas, crafts, recipes, even the ads are interesting! If you can afford only one magazine this is the one!

The Old Schoolhouse Magazine is my favorite home educating magazine! There is so much information packed into it, that I have to take it to bed with me to read all the articles. You'll often find me sneaking a peek in my TOS while my children are doing there schoolwork . . . and reading out loud from the magazine to them at lunch! I dog-ear the corners of pages of advertising so I can come on-line and check on curriculum choices. The Old Schoolhouse Magazine is worth every penny!

This magazine has it all. Curriculum reviews, learning style features, personal stories, interviews, helpful hints and most of all SUPPORT for the tired homeschool Mom. By far the best homeschooling magazine on the market. I've given gift subscriptions to friends because it is too good to pass up.
If you are feeling stale and out of ideas in your homeschool or need a boost from others in your situation, TOS is a great friend arriving four times a year.
