Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Andrew Weil is a Gift to Our Time   September 10, 2007
I have subscribed to his newsletter for many years. I always find it interesting, informative and easy to understand. It is a very important source for everyone. I try to share my copies with as many others as possible.$20.00 is a small price to pay for this valuable newsletter!

1 out of 5 stars Poor customer service kills the sale   May 30, 2007

I too requested a free sample newsletter. To date, I have received two subscription notices but the sample has yet to appear. I was predisposed to subscribe--sheesh, I was obviously interested in the topic--but at this point am so disappointed with the customer service I have returned the subscription notices marked "cancel". I too had to trace a convoluted path to get to the newsletter customer service team. The first comment form from the website generated an automated reply that directed me to yet another email address. Good quality content doesn't trump poor customer experience, as the other two reviewers seem to imply.

5 out of 5 stars A Welcome Addition to my Alternative Health Library   July 14, 2006

I can't understand anyone giving a negative review of this newsletter. I am well educated in alternative health treatments and natural products. I keep up with the latest developments in research by reading websites, books, magazines, etc. I half expected not to receive any new information from Dr. Andrew Weil, after reading the uncomplimentary post at this site.
I am happy to report that I have received two Self Healing newsletters and I was pleasantly surprised to find updated, relevant information within its pages. Thank you Dr. Weil. I am more than pleased to become a subscriber.

4 out of 5 stars Covers many topics   March 3, 2006

This is a good newletter covering a broad range of alternative medicine topics. Most of the information can be found elsewhere on his website, but it's still good to have it compiled in a readable format. Also, like the previous reviewer, I requested the free issue. On the website, It is clearly stated that you will receive an invoice for the full year. All you have to do is return the invoice marked with "Cancel". It's that simple. Please get all the facts before making such a big fuss.

I requested a "free" copy of this newsletter from Dr. Weil's website. I was told that there would be no commitment. However, the newsletter's marketing department sent me a bill and demanded that I pay the one year subscription. They had very poor customer support (no 800 number or address). I finally managed to find an email address and wrote them to cancel my "subscription". I received no reply. Instead, they sent the bill over to a collection agency. I decided to go ahead and pay the amount (about $20), since it was taking too much of my time. The articles are varied in utility. About 50% of the information is available for free on the internet.
