the magazine is very informative May 1, 2008
The Smithsonian is educational and in depth. Don't expect it to be your garden variety "throw away rag" - this is a keeper as you will want to come back to some stories and reread them multiple times. My only complaint is that i never received a card stating that I am a member now.

Smithsonian is a fine magazine..If you have a friend or family memeber that is incarcerated..IT IS A GREAT MAG.FOR THEM..GOOD STORIES AND EXCEPTED BY THE PRISONS

I purchased this magazine over two months ago and it has still not arrived, although the Smithsonian has sent me a card stating that I am a member now. I was really hoping to get the magazine because I read one at my local library and was really impressed with that issue.

I got this for my boyfriend for christmas and he's only gotten one so far! I am not sure why that is but it's pretty lame that they do not send them on a monthly basis...
