You must hop on pop! April 7, 2005 My dad and I love this book, especially the hopping on Pop part! We think it is very funny. The rhymes are lively, too. If you liked Fox in Socks, you'll love Oh, Say Can You Say! This video, like any other, is a trio of Seuss. The third story included is Marvin K. Mooney, Will You Please Go Now! THis rhyme-beree is perfect for children learning how to read early or how to rhyme. Plus, it's lots of fun!
GREAT MOVIE!!! March 13, 2003 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
It's an all time classic! You must get it! Some people just are too pampered with modern day flashy animation!I love the part where the yellow people hop on pop! It's funny and enjoyable. It's got three stories from dr. suess books. First, there's hop on pop, the great way to teach kids to read ,like where critters hop on pop, and and the people who played a ball game on a wall and fell off, and the big yellow bear with a green nose who likes to sit on things, your kids will love it(ecspecially if they like dr. suess!) then oh say can you say "oh my brothers, oh my sisters/these are terrible tounge twisters!" and make sure tounge dosen't end up in saint louiey! then, marvin k. mooney, where a person named marvin is asked to leave the room in different ways; like camels, bumble boats, stilts, hats, and even mail. I am ten and I still like it! If you are one of dr. suess's many fans , then this is what you and your kids want! The first few days I owned it, I didn't miss out on one day without watching this. This is awsome!(See my other review on animal antics!)
a great tape for new readers November 6, 2002 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
In the same style of the other Beginner Book videos, this tape brings three classic Dr. Seuss stories to life. This video is not fully animated; it acts more like a book on tape. Each page is presented to the young viewer and some of the characters have added movement. Yet the focus remains true to what a reader would expect. As for the picture quality, it's as good as any other commercial video. A reviewer did make negative comments about it, and I did find that to be the case a few years ago when I inadvertantly bought an illegal copy from a major retailer. I returned it and ordered a "real" copy and it played just fine. I would expect that that problem is long gone now and you can expect the tape quality to be just fine.
poor quality December 2, 2000 1 out of 5 found this review helpful
This video was bought as a reward for my 3 year old who is learning to use the potty. The video contents are about what you would expect if you have seen any other of these dr.seuss videos--basically still shots with dialogue, not rocket science by any stretch of the imagination. The shocking thing was the actual quality of the tape is abysmal---almost unwatchable, tracking and all. I would NOT buy this and can only hope that my son doesn't show his disgust in more tangible ways
highly recommended! June 25, 2000 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
this video remains true to the spirit of dr. seuss books. the original illustrations are animated and my 3 year old son just loves to repeat the rhymes. it teaches reading and spelling but is also highly entertaining. it's a good read along video if you have the books. highly recommended!
