Amazon.com Product Description This Casio G-Shock digital watch offers a stylishly rugged look, world-savvy features ideal for business or adventure, and a durable design. The watch's atomic timekeeping calibrates the displayed time with radio signals to ensure a high level of accuracy, and the tough solar power offers a battery life of approximately 11 months on full charge without further exposure to light. The watch is built with a round stainless steel bezel, stainless steel case, and a stylish stainless steel band with a fold-over push-button clasp. The digital window shows the time in a bold central display, with world time settings for up to 29 time zones (30 cities), daylight savings option, and a city code display. The digital window also conveniently shows the day of the week above and the month and date below, automatically pre-programmed through 2099. The battery power level and calibration signal reception are indicated on the sides. This watch also offers four daily alarms and one snooze alarm, a time recorder, a 1/100 second stopwatch function, and a handy automatic EL backlight with afterglow. Specially designed for shock resistance and water resistant up to 660 feet, this digital quartz powered watch is backed by a 1-year limited manufacturer's warranty.

Durable, Practicable and Accurate November 17, 2008 I bought this as a present for my autistic brother, who is a fanatic about accuracy on time. This makes him happy, not only because its accurate, but also because it supplies the day of the week and date as well. It makes me happy because its durable and can withstand the shocks of his job, which is very physical. This was very moderately priced for all that it does and was well worth the money.
casio watch October 24, 2008 the watch was just as it was advertised and just what i wanted, thank you very much.I am very satisfied.
I absolutely love my Casio G-Shock atomic-solar watch October 2, 2008 I bought this watch about three months ago. After a couple of months of searching all Casio G-Shock atomic/solar watches, this was the ONLY one I liked in this price range. The metal band is a big plus, as I don't like leather or resin.
This is a big watch, and it is a little heavy, but it feels very comfortable on my small wrist. Some people complain about the small print on the manual, but I have no trouble reading it at all and I'm retired.
The manual recommends placing the watch in a window so it can receive the atomic clock signal, but at home I just place it near an exterior wall, about 18 inches below my window and it calibrates itself every morning, like clockwork (pun intended). However, I did have trouble receiving the signals from motels rooms while on vacation. The watch retrieves the signal from Fort Collins, CO, every night at either 2, 3, 4, or 5AM. In order to do that, the watch must be kept motionless for about 5 minutes or so, during any one of those times. Note: if you happen to work during those hours, the watch would not pick up the signal unless it was removed from your wrist each night and placed near a window. That would seem to be a big inconvenience, and a deal breaker for me. Another thing: the volume of the alarm is almost totally inaudible on mine. If that feature is important to you (it's not to me) I would test it, before I decided to keep the watch.
If you are thinking of buying this as a gift, please keep in mind that some people (not me) would be intimidated by all of the features available, and the amount of reading necessary after the initial purchase. But once you get past that point, you'll never have to adjust it again, not even for leap year. My highest recommendation!
Also, one bit of trivia I discovered with this watch, I used to think my local news radio station broadcast the correct time with their hourly tone. WRONG! Their station has a 10-second delay. Thanks Casio, for a great product!
Time after, well you know....... September 29, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This watch keeps the perfect time....time after time! A bit big, but it takes a beating and keeps on glowing! I wish the price wasn't so high when I first bought it(I paid over $100).
Perhaps the best watch I've purchased in a long time... September 24, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
... especially for the price! It can be as easy to operate as you like... It was set to Eastern Standard Time and switching back and forth to Daylight Savings Time right out of the box, and it does synchronize with the Fort Collins clock most nights. It also appears to be easy to program for different options.
I haven't tested its water resistance below about 3 meters, and I haven't gone motocross racing since about 30 years before I got it, but I'd be real surprised if it didn't meet the water and shock resistant promises it gives. It's a little bulky, but that's because of the aforementioned resistances. A fine value!
