Product Description
A great game for anyone who loves a challenge!

Editorial Review
With elements of rummy (cards played in sequence) and poker (chips!), Michigan Rummy will appeal to fans of both games. To begin a game, each player puts a chip in each of nine compartments in the plastic game board. Seven of the compartments are identified with a bonus card. When that card is played during the game, the holder of the card wins the corresponding chips. A deck of cards is completely dealt at the beginning of the game. Cards are played by suit, with the first player playing the lowest card in their hand. Play moves to any player who has the next card in the suit and continues until no plays are left. Play then moves to another suit. The object of the game is to discard all cards while collecting bonus chips. If a bonus isn't collected in one game, the chips remain in the compartment and are carried over to the next game. The center compartment is won by the first player to empty their hand. The Poker Pool is won by the player with the best poker hand at the end of the game. Card deck not included. --Wendy Slotboom

5 out of 5 stars Good for adults   October 12, 2008
Good get-together game for adults. We are using it to give some older people in the community a chance to get together with others.

4 out of 5 stars Michigin Rummy   August 17, 2008
Friends introduced us to this game and we had a hard time finding it in any store. We were delighted to find it on Amazon plus I had a $[...] rebate from Amazon from taking a survey so was very happy that I could use that toward the price of my game. The tray isn't very sturdy but if we're careful with it we should be able to have many years of fun with it. Amazon has all kinds of things you can't find other places for sale. It is one of my favorite shopping sites.

5 out of 5 stars Oldie but Goodie   January 15, 2008
Pressman Michigan Rummyis a game that is very similar to Tripoley that has been around a long time but has lost its popularity to be stocked in most stores that sell games. It's a game of chance that is easily learned and played by ages 8 years to adults. It's very fun as a party game for adults. Amazon. com was where I was able to find the game since the game I had for years has been lost with my latest move.

4 out of 5 stars New player of Michigan Rummy   November 22, 2007

I played Michigan Rummy for the first time with my girlfriend's family two years ago and now find myself looking to play the game during family gatherings, especially holidays. I do not recall playing this game as a child so I feel it is one I missed out on. I have since introduced some friends to this game. It is a nice group game to play. The board is made out of a thin plastic so unfortunately flimsy. I am looking to order the wooden board after this review.

Enjoy!
