Versatile, Convertible Design Lasts through Early Childhood
The Nautilus features an extended five-point harness design that can accommodate children over the age of one, from 20 to 65 pounds in weight--a wider range than most other forward-facing car seats. As your child grows, the seat easily converts to a high-back booster and then, lastly, to a backless booster for a child up to 100 pounds in weight. A steel-reinforced frame and superior construction help to ensure safety and durability through years of use.

Built for Comfort and Superior Safety
You can rest assured that your child will have superior protection while riding in the Nautilus, thanks to extensive crash testing and a steel-reinforced structure. The car seat meets or exceeds US Safety Standards, including U.S. Compliance Standard FMVSS 213; the New Car Assessment Program (NCAP), with peak Crash Force approximately twice the Car Seat Standard; and tests for Extreme Car Interior Temperatures. EPS energy-absorbing foam provides additional security and comfort.

As well as being secure and safe, your child will feel extra-comfy, too, with an easily adjustable head support, cushioned seat, and wide armrests; a cup holder and side storage keeps snacks and treasures close at hand.

About Graco
In 1942, Russell Gray and Robert Cone formed Graco Metal Products, in Philadelphia, PA. For 11 years, the firm fabricated machine and car parts for local manufacturers. In 1953, Gray left the firm, leaving Cone as sole owner. Cone decided to manufacture his own line of products, but had trouble coming up with ideas. Enter David Saint, an engineer, tinkerer, and stained glass artisan who worked for Graco. Saint, himself a father of nine, was intrigued when an associate told him how his wife would soothe their tired and cranky baby while swinging in a backyard glider swing. Acting on this inspiration, he went to the drawing board and 18 months of hard work later, the world's first wind-up infant swing, the Graco Swyngomatic, was born. Graco sold millions of Swyngomatics in the coming years, becoming one of the world's leading manufacturers of juvenile products in the process. Today, Graco is a Newell Rubbermaid company, with 1500 associates worldwide. While a half-century has brought many changes to Graco, their dedication and commitment to designing and manufacturing top-quality products remains, and continues on.

5 out of 5 stars Awesome Seat!!   August 15, 2008
This seat is truly a great seat. It seems to be better quality than other seats in this price range. My kids truly love sitting in these seats, and they are ecstatic that they can see more out the windows (because the seats set them up higher). I had difficulty putting them together by myself, as I needed an extra set of hands, but with my husbands help it was no problem at all! The kids seem so much more secure than in other seats!!

5 out of 5 stars Graco Car Seat (65 lbs. 3-point harness!)   August 15, 2008
A few months ago, one of our graddaughters was killed in an automobile accident, when a speeding reckless driver T-boned her side of the van driven by her parents. The parents and other two children suffered only scrapes and bruises. Our daughter (and I) researched car seats for the youngest, who is 3 & 1/2 years old. We chose this car seat, because (unlike most) it still uses the 3-point harness system up to 65 pounds. (Most car seats had a 40-lb. limit for their harnesses.) It uses the LATCH clips to secure the car seat. Our daughter uses it in their new SUV, and we use it in our sedan. We both highly recommend it.

5 out of 5 stars We love it!   August 13, 2008
So without writing a novel, my husband and I love this car seat. I have been a britax fan, but when we needed to buy two more car seats because my 6 month old outgrew the carrier, I looked for something a little cheaper. I have the roundabout and love it, but I was so excited with the price and reviews of the nautilus I had to check it out. The nautilus is awesome. It was easy to install (to move the crotch clip was slightly challenging, you need to pull it out at an angle, not perpendicular), it has clips on the back to hold the latch system when it is not in use, the cup holder is great because it does not stick out to the side like others so it still fits even with a rear facing car seat next to it, inside the arm rests is hallow- the perfect place for my son to stash toys, it is very user friendly. We are very impressed, my son loves it. We bought two, one for each of our cars.

5 out of 5 stars Lives up to the expectiations I had!   August 4, 2008
I chose this seat because it was the most versatile, reasonably priced seat I found and it had such consistently good reviews. We actually own four of them, one for each of our kids for both of our cars. They are easy to install, comfortable for the kids and easy to buckle/unbuckle and adjust the tightness of the harness. I bought them for the 3-in-1 feature for later down the road and for the option of having larger kids still in the 5 point harness, which is what is recommended to be used as long as possible.

5 out of 5 stars Great Seat   August 4, 2008
We have this seat, but in the darker gray, and we love it. We call it our daughters space shuttle seat. She loves this seat and it isn't easy for her to get out of. You have to put a lot of pressure on the buckle to get it to let go. It is great that you don't have to buy another seat ever again!!!
