They really are the best July 21, 2008 Official poker size, they shuffle easily, paint job is perfect, and they slide around the table just how you want them to. Be gentle with them and they will last you forever. I love them, I havn't had a problem with them, They are all you will ever need in playing cards.
My friend dosent like them though. He hates the feel of plastic. Anyone who hates these cards must hate not ever having to buy another deck of cards again.
Unless you have an irrashional fear of plastic, you will love these cards. They are indestructable.
Absolutely The Best! July 5, 2008 They cost about $20 for two decks and are without question worth every single penny. If you're still using a deck of standard paper cards, like Bee or Bicycle, it's most likely because you've never shuffled a deck of KEM cards. Do yourself and your friends a favor and purchase a set of these cards. They're an absolute joy to shuffle, deal, and play. They will literally last a lifetime, and I can promise that you will never want to play with a cheap deck of paper cards ever again. One riffle of these cards and your reaction will be "WOW!" I love handing the deck to a newcomer at our home game and the instant they shuffle their reaction, "Wow, these are really nice cards!" If you hold a weekly poker night and are still using cheap cards, just tell everyone at your next game that $20 from tonight's pot is going towards a new set of KEM cards...they might grumble a little, but I promise the following week they will thank you and wish they'd chipped in sooner.
Best Cards Available March 24, 2008 These are great cards, I've used both KEM and Copag cards, and the KEM's are the best on the market. Very high quality, very sturdy, had my previous set for 18 months, and they were used 2 to 3 times a week. Highly recommended.
great for card games, terrible for card flourishes March 23, 2008 This is a wonderful produce, extremely durable, the only way it could really let you down is if you lost a card. They FEEL flimsy, as if they were a deck of cards that you've had for years, so they shuffle really smooth, but they NEVER get softer than they are now. But, if you like doing card flourishes, then you might want to reconsider. For those of you that don't know what card flourishes are, they are those fancy tricks you can do with cards, not magic tricks, fancy tricks that only require skill. If you've seen that Blackjack commercial, where that guy is doing all those fancy tricks with the phone, those are card flourishes, also if you've seen the movie Smoking Aces, then that guy that everyone wants to kill does card flourishes. It's mainly because of the plastic finish that these cards have, they prevent the cards from really moving like a paper deck does. But if you're only into card games, then get this product, because it is for you. Hell, just buy this then pay a few more bucks for a cheap paper deck for your flourishes.
As lasting as ever...? September 28, 2007 My first contact with Kem playing cards was more than 30 years ago - and that one deck lasted - yes: 30 years of wild poker games...(and bridge games too) So if the quality of this new deck is the good old KEM-quality (they feel and seem to be) I won't need another one in this lifetime...
