Unlike traditional scooters that require constant pushing off the ground, the Pulse Kick 'N Go uses a unique chain driven kick lever propulsion system that allows you to accelerate and maintain speed without ever touching foot-to-ground. Even beginning riders can hop on and execute tight turns while maintaining a balanced stance on the deck. It features a high-performance Chromoly steel frame with an ultra fine traction stripe on an ultra stiff, high tensile steel punch deck. You'll power the scooter with the single-action, dual sided, T-bar propulsion pedal at the back of the deck. After kicking it to power your ride, the T-bar comes back to its normal position within a few seconds for another propulsive kick. The handlebar includes ally, two-finger brake levers, dual-density control grips, and an internal downtube folding mechanism. pulse kick and go scooter review July 8, 2008
i found this scooter to be alot of fun, i dont know why people are writing bad reviews about it.
the pump mechanism only goes fast if you kick it really fast, i had to also reduce the chain length to make it ALOT faster, to do this you need to look at the bottom and you will see a black spring and the chain. disconnect the spring and there should be a little grey hook holding the end of the chain.make that chainlength longer so theres more extra(reducing the chains length), now you can have someone help you for the next part or you can do this yourself (i did this myself)pull the black spring and connect it back to the black hook on the grey disk shaped thing and your ready to go.
what reducing the chain length does.
reducing the chain length makes it harder to push the kick pedal. this in turn makes for a bigger speed burst though. remember to kick off about 3 times to get a good ammount of speed and momentum and then just kick as hard and as fast as you can.

Seems like pretty good quality. my Grandson likes it and continues to enjoy riding it. He is 6 y/o. The shipping box was really torn apart by the USPS (I think it was USPS) But the scooter was not badly damaged except for a few dings and scratches.
Kick n Go scooter June 24, 2008
This was purchased for our 11 year old boy. It was bought with money he received as Birthday presents. This is different enough that he is thrilled and has ridden it a few times. After about a mile one's leg becomes quite fatigued from pumping. Nonetheless, he is thrilled. He has a helmet and pads which he feels are unnecessary but those are the rules he agreed to and I'm holding him to it. Too many accidents seem to happen on these 2 wheeled scooters. Helmets Help. Ordering and delivery were perfect. The equipment arrived in excellent condition.

This is one great scooter. My son loves it and is very good. He created obstical courses, and scooter has great manueverabilty. He loves the pump and builds up quite a bit of speed. It is built very solidly, excellent mechanism, and large wheels. This is built for fun and my son loved it. He was allowed to test drive it before purchasing which was a great plus.
 good for kids but not for adults May 30, 2008
My husband and kids gave me this scooter for my birthday (40+). It offers a very smooth ride with a nice grip. It is a larger scooter than the Razor which you would think would be more appropriate for adults. Unfortunately, I find the platform too short making it uncomfortable for anything longer than a 1 minute trip. It is awkward to push along as the pump gets in the way a bit. The scooter doesn't back up so you end up having to lift the front wheel to turn it around at times. That being said, my kids (aged 5, 8 & 10) all love it and my 5 year old mastered the pump in about 2 minutes.
