No Plastic May 14, 2008 Makes me feel more comfortable drinking my water....knowing i am not possibly putting bits of plastic into my system.
It leaks April 12, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I looked forward to this new 'space age' bottle. Its sleek design is futuristic i guess and I love the sturdy design...but it leaks.
There is a leak coming from somewhere around the top and i cant find it. I put the bottle in my backpack for school and when I am on the train and need a drink I find everything inside soaked.
I wouldnt buy anotherone.
Good, solid steel bottle, not perfect. April 8, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
After reading a magazine article talking about the dangers of bottled water (apparently several brands have been found to contain live bacteria, for example) I decided to buy one of these things. PROS: Affordability--the Enviro is about the least expensive metal water bottle I have seen of this style. Shape--the mouth of the bottle is wide enough to admit a decent-sized ice cube. Material--this bottle is stainless steel rather than the commonly used aluminum. If you're considering this purchase to avoid the toxins that can leach from common water bottles, this is good to know. Ease of use--yes, I know, it's a water bottle. Ease of use? What? This bottle includes a regular pop top nozzle like you'll find on biking water bottles. Much more convenient than unscrewing the cap when you want a drink. To add to that, it has a small one-way valve on the cap to allow for pressure equalization. You don't have to work against a vacuum when drinking out of this thing.
CONS: Size--it is, I'm afraid, rather large. It's a 1-liter bottle, after all. It fits fine in the bottle holder on the side of my school pack, but for some people this might not be much help. Just be aware that it's about the size of a 1-liter soda bottle. The screw cap--its fit in the threads is a bit looser than I'd like. I've never had the thing skip a thread, but until the cap is tightened, it does give the impression that it was made for a smaller bottle.
All in all, I've been very happy with this purchase. This item comes without frills, big brand names, or even paint--it's just a good solid drinking bottle that should last as long as the owner does.
So So April 4, 2008 The shape on the New Wave Enviro Stainless Steel Water Bottle is perfect to hold, it has a nice large opening so ice cubs fit easily. The thing I don't like about it is that it is not insulated. When carrying it it gets quite cold when using ice.

Can't chug water with this bottle April 3, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
If you are like me and like to chug water, avoid this bottle. The vacuum release valve does not work, so you have to draw water from the bottle with suction. And once the section gets to a point, you can't get any more water. You have to release the pressure by stopping and letting air in. And letting air in makes a squeak.
It's cool looking, but I believe function is much more important than form.
