light, roomy, great features September 8, 2008 I haven't had a chance to use it much yet, but so far it completely meets my expectations. The material is very lightweight. The bag is roomy. The strap on the side even holds my yoga mat firmly (vertically) against the bag! The straps are comfortable and well padded. I think I'm going to love this bag!
A truly comfortable backpack May 14, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought this backpack because the padding on my others was insufficient.
What I didn't realize was that apart from the padding along the shoulders that the length of the pack would actually be comfortable on my 5'4" frame, that there was space to fit a nalgene bottle in the netting area, that I could easily strap my windbreaker on the opposite site with the adjustable side straps and that there was plenty of room in both exterior pockets for additional stuff (I keep my reading glasses case in the top exterior pocket and all my computer cords in the outer, lower pocket). I could still attach more stuff to the this backpack if I wanted to - a cell phone holder is on the front of one of the straps.
Addtionally the large back compartment can be expanded if needed - and when expanded I was literally able to fit all four of my law text books into this bag (though because of the weight it's something I avoided whenver possible!) but it was nice to have the option.
My 14.5" computer, within it sleeve, also fits nicely.
All in all I'm delighted with this purchase and when and if it wears out I plan to buy the exact same backpack again.
Great pack for short trip April 13, 2008 This pack has lots of pockets and places to put anything you might need for a short trip. I'm not in school anymore, but it wold probably make a pretty great pack for hauling your junk around campus too. I'm taking it to Spain soon and we'll see how it fairs. I think it will be great. It looks good too.
Big and Light April 2, 2008 It's large (but can be cinched flatter). Most of all , it's /very/ light empty. Great for all day or overnight hiking. It's "Swell."
I love it! Great value! September 25, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It's comfortable, has enough room, and is well padded. What more can you ask? It's an awesome deal. The only things I'd like would be a laptop section, and maybe one or two more small zippered openings to stow small stuff in. Overall, it's awesome.
