4 out of 5 stars Good bag at the right price   April 14, 2008

I recently went to Spain for a couple of weeks and needed a small day pack. I was looking for a well built, lightweight backpack that I could use as a day pack while traveling (water, maps, snack items, light coat, umbrella, etc). This bag fit the bill exactly.

The bag is constructed well, and went through repeated heavy use during this period of time (hopping on and off, trains, planes, etc.) and is still in one piece. There is nothing fancy about this bag but for under $20 it has the essnetials down: eleastic pouch on the side for water, small zippered compartment for smaller items, headphone slip-through for your ipod, and a large storage area.

I wouldn't plan on placing anything heavy in the bag or, if you tend to be very abusive towards bags, I would look for another bag. It is well constructed, but in the end, it is a small lightweight bag. I think it could hold a couple of notebooks, a textbook or two, and some other supplies without a problem, but I wouldn't throw anything much more at it.

The only downside of the bag is if you will be carrying it around for more than an hour or two a day (ie: wearing it the whole day), it would have been really nice to have a securing strap between the sholder straps. This would help distribute the weight and make wearing the bag all day a non-issue. As it stands now, the bag is light enough (even with a bottle of water in it and other various items) it should be fine for half the day, but once a little bit of fatigue sets it, you can begin feeling the bag pulling on your sholders. Even at that, it is a great deal and a very nice bag. Quite pleased with the purchase.

5 out of 5 stars Basic School Backpack   September 13, 2007
Perfect for just books! Avoids the temptation to carry too much. Loved it so much I ordered more to have on hand.

5 out of 5 stars Sharp looking backpack   January 9, 2007

I bought this backpack for my son in third grade. It's perfect for a kid his size--fits his back and shoulders well. It also appears to be well made, with strong seams, zippers, and straps. (I purchased it after the backpack I bought at Target tore where the stap meets the top of the bag--in the second week of school.)

3 out of 5 stars it's just ok!   January 9, 2007
I bought this bag for half the price. The quality is not that good but it's ok for the price I paid. The outer colored cloth is very thin. Had they used the same cloth which is on the back side, it would have been a better bag. Also it has only one extra pocket in the front.
