Not a durable bat.July 8, 2008 This is the second Nike bat I have purchased for my Little League age son. Neither survived a complete season. While it is a great bat out of the box with good "feel" and pop, it just is not a durable bat. Despite being used only in games and pre-game batting practice, the barrel soon became mis-shapen and eventually cracked. Nike warranty service has thus far not been helpful either. I would not recommend this bat.
Great Bat for 8- 12yr oldsMay 5, 2008 This bat is very light and is comparable to the $200 plasma bats that all the spoiled rich kids are getting. Both my boys are hitting much better. They can get the bat around much quicker and most of the other players like to use it to help their swing.

I purchased this bat for my son. After reviewing the bat last year and speaking with several baseball coaches, I purchased the bat as an alternative to the popular composition bats. The Torque has lived up to all expectations. The bat has a large sweet spot and plenty of "pop". The bat's lightweight allows for plenty of bat speed. So far, the bat has held up well. My son's hitting average and range is holding its own against teammates with composites.
