love it! July 30, 2008 excellent for keeping food warm in kid's lunchbox! My children love rice and beans and in this thermos, they can take it in their lunch box and its still fairly warm when they sit down for lunch.
Advice for cleaning and to keep food hot longer... July 16, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I had the same problem as another reviewer with discoloration from stuff like spaghetti-o's. It sounds a little strange, but try spraying a little PAM on a paper towel and rubbing it on the 'rubbery' surfaces - worked for me with my daughter's thermoses like this. I've also found that washing on the top rack of the dishwasher gets the stains (and the gross greasy residue from condensed chicken noodle soup) out very well. To keep things hotter longer, fill the thermos with the hottest tap water you can, put the lid on and leave it sit awhile, then dump out the water and fill with the hot food. It'll still be quite warm at lunch time. Hope that helps. :)
Still hot after 5 hours! June 5, 2008 I had a cheap plastic hot food jar for my little girl's lunchbox and after only two weeks the lid was cracked from the teacher's aides screwing it ont too tight so I needed an alternative (not to mention the food not staying too warm). I did my research and the Foogo looked like the best option. Well it WAS!! I pack my daughter's lunch at 7am and she says it's still warm at noon at preschool, and there's no chance of it cracking with that great stainless steel construction. I'm so impressed with the Foogo line I plan to purchase the matching leak proof straw cup. EXCELLENT!!
Small thermos that works well May 20, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was surprised at how small the thermos looked when I opened the box. However, it is perfectly suitable for my needs. I bought it for my daughter to take to school. She likes that it fits in her lunch box and that it is pink. She doesn't like that there is no cup that other thermoses have. It keeps her lunch warm. I get it ready at 6:30 am and it is still warm 6 hours later.
The instructions say not to put into the dishwasher, and I haven't. It cleans easily with soap and water. I send a lot of tomato sauce in the thermos and the pink has cleaned up just fine. I thought the tomato might stain, but it hasn't. This is a great little product that I fully recommend.
Works great... March 8, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
We just moved to colder climates last year so sandwich and chips just wasn't enough for our kids on cold days. My wife was trying to pack them a bowl that they could heat in the school microwave but our kids complained at the length of the line to the microwave.
We wanted to get a thermos that looked nice, encourages the kids to bring it back home, and was functional at the same time. So we picked these up because we could get different colors for each of the kids.
Now my wife will make them some hot soup at about 7:30 in the morning and by lunch time at 12:30 the kids have said everything is still hot. The other nice thing is they say all there friends comment them on their thermos.
