Coleman enamelware July 8, 2008 Packaged adequately for safe delivery with no damage. Attractive enamelware good for camping, picnics, "pioneer" or rustic table settings. Large surface area on plates, and bowls and cups are large enough for good-sized servings. Cleans easily. Repacks nicely in cardboard box for storage.
Like Workin' on the Railroad... May 27, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I think in every Western there is a shot of guys sitting around a camp fire after a long day of riding/bulding a railroad/working a gold mine/robbing banks and trains/etc. In almost every shot, the guys are eating unidentifiable food off of blue tin plates. Well, you can't necessarily be in the movies, but you can have the plates.
This set consists of four plates, four bowls and four mugs. Each piece is very sturdy is enameled in that famous blue (or red) with white specks. Kind of like looking up at a clear night sky when you're out camping. The pieces are sized well and should hold up to a lot of use outdoors.
But here are the three reasons to get this set. First, the set is well made. You won't have to worry about sawing through your paper plate (and your leg), or your plastic plate flipping over. You won't have to worry about your hot coffee melting through the flimsy paper cup, or your half-eaten plastic bowl of cereal blowing away.
Second, hauling paper and plastic dinnerware to a campsite or a picnic site creates garbage. Garbage attracts pests and animals. Garbage stinks and creates litter. Garbage eventually has to be buried somewhere to rot, sometimes for hundreds or thousands of years. Or you could just use this set, wash it off and then use it again. Your call...
Third, it just looks cool. Plain and simple.
The bottom line is good value, good for the environment, good purchase for you!
Just What You Would Expect January 13, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
These camp dishes from Coleman are exactly what you would expect. They are fairly lightweight, durable, and fantastic for camping. The price is more than half what the same type dishes cost at our local sporting goods stores.

This is exactly what we need when going camping or when doing a musical of SEVEN BRIDES FOR SEVEN BROTHERS set in pioneer days. Nothing we can damage or crush. Just the right item.
Delightful Placesetting September 10, 2005 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
This was a wonderful and sturdy set of dishes. Used it for 6 days of camping and enjoyed them every meal. Very strudy and wash up easily. Only issue was we chiped a mug when a metal handle fell on it. Need to be careful not to drop them on hard surfaces (metal, rock, etc) as they are porclein coated.
Still love the set.
