Beach umbrella sand anchor July 20, 2008 This anchor is a good idea. If it were about 6"-12" longer it would provide greater stability to the umbrella in windy conditions.
Didn't get what I ordered May 10, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I thought I ordered what was displayed on the ad's photo - an anchor with a metal handle. I received an anchor with a plastic handle. I've read previously that other people get the same problem. It may work OK, but I did have the same anchor last year and the plastic handle snapped off. Amazon must be more careful to sell the product that is actually shown on the photo!
A *must* for your beach umbrella September 11, 2007 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
We went to the beach with two beach umbrellas and only one sand anchor. The sand anchor did a great job of digging down deep into the sand and keeping the one umbrella firmly attached -- even in the breeze. We couldn't get the other umbrella (the one without a sand anchor) into the sand deep enough and it blew on to the people next to us, so we had to put that umbrella away.
VERY easy to use and does a great job. After I got home from the beach I ordered a second anchor for my other beach umbrella. Personally, I think it's a "must" for your beach umbrella. A Note about my order: Although I ordered the one pictured (with a metal piece on top), they sent me the all-plastic version (twice), which I kept and works great. I would imagine they'd both work equally as well, but in all fairness this review truly pertains to the all plastic version which Amazon calls the "RIO Beach Sand Anchor for Beach Umbrellas". Even though my sand anchors are all plastic, they seem very sturdy and rigid. No problems.

It's ok. You just have to make sure you have a good umbrella to with it.

I ordered the product in question but did not receive the one in the picture. I returned the item and asked that you ship the correct item but all I got was a credit.
I ordered the item in question but got the plastic version. You may ship the correct item and I will accept it.
You pickers need to be more careful and if the item ordered is not instock then you need to advise to that the consumer may make a decision.
