| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Combining the thermal properties of an insulated vacuum bottle with the lightweight, flexible features of a plastic bottle, the Polar Bottle is the ideal choice for people on the move. Simply fill it with liquid and ice and hit the trail. For even longer cooling power, fill your Polar Bottle and store it in the freezer before use. Either way, you will keep liquids cold longer. NOW IN COLORS! The outside of the bottle is the same translucent white, but the inner foil is colored for a very "cool" look. A note for "matching" colors between the 20 oz and the 24oz, the "red" is the same color between the 20 and 24 oz, the blue is the same, and the white is the same. The green, however is darker in the 20 oz size.

Love this bottle! March 22, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is a great water bottle and it's slim enough to fit a small hand. I found no smell in the bottle and the mouth is large enough to easily fill it with ice.
Please read this if you are concerned with leaching chemicals! February 29, 2008 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
These bottles are all my family uses. To the other reviewers who have posted that this bottle leaches chemicals, I would ask that they do a little research before posting. First, you should wash the bottles in your dishwasher or hot water before using, this is just common sense and will remove any plastic odor (though I have never noticed any). These bottles are made from LDPE#4, which according to multiple studies, does NOT leach toxic chemicals into your water. On the other hand, Lexan, ie Polycarbonate ie Nalgene bottles have been shown to leach Bisphenol-A or BPA into water. You can feel safe buying and drinking from these bottles made of FDA approved LDPE#4.
Great product! February 24, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I LOVE this water bottle. You can completely fill it with ice but never have to deal with condensation. In addition to it being my constant companion at the gym, I use it throughout my day. I drink a lot more water now because of it. I highly recommend it!
Good Bottles January 12, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
These polar bottles are great! I have had several of them for a couple years and they continue to perform very well. Cold drinks stay cold with just a little ice and hot drinks stay hot for hours. I would recommend them to anyone that does not like room temperature beverages. I have put mine in the dishwasher many times and it still works well. I have not had any problem with tasting a chemical taste as some people say they have experienced.
Off-Gassing of Chemicals Into Water November 14, 2007 7 out of 12 found this review helpful
This bottle leaches the chemicals from which it is made into the contents of the bottle. By the time I finish a two hour bicycle ride, any water that I might still have in the bottle smells more like a superfund cleanup site than an opportunity for refreshment.
I lost the lid just today on a ride, and was actually relieved because now I don't have to choose between the toxic taste that this bottle created and wasting the money on a bottle I have only had for a few weeks.
As far as the thermal aspect of this product, it added a bit to the length of time my water was kept cold (I start with filtered/refrigerated water). Don't by any means expect a thermos here.
Also, it never really fit properly into my water bottle cage on my bicycle. Whether this is a bottle unusually stout, or a cage unusually narrow I cannot say, but I always had to press a bit to make it fit.
Bottom line: Does it really matter how cold your water is, if it is all the while absorbing a nasty chemical taste (IE: molecules) from the plastic which holds it?
Every time I took a drink out of this thing, for some reason I kept thinking about Chinese toys.
