Editorial Reviews:

Amazon.com Product Description
Now a standard among snow aficionados, the MSR Denali Classic modular snowshoe offers high-end features at a reasonable price. The lightweight UniDeck plastic molded design gives you reliable flotation in all snow conditions; if the powder's deep just add optional detachable tails for more flotation. The steel traction blades, crampons, and molded braking bars in deck offer outstanding grip, and the mitten-friendly strap bindings with heel stabilizers stay pliable in even the coldest temperatures. The crampon extension plate eliminates heel drift, while four-strap binding provides a great fit and secure attachment to snowshoe, and the Enlarged boot hole allows for use of snowboard and/or ski boots.

5 out of 5 stars Great world class shoes   February 6, 2007

These snowshoes are great! The extra crampons along the sides are extremely helpful for steep ascents. I'm often the one breaking snow for my friends because their traditional snowshoes with only railing on the side causes them to slide around too much.

The additional size extensions MSR sells provide a lot of versatility. While the small shoe size is great for fast movement in packed conditions, deep powder calls for a longer shoe to hold me up. When I encounter this I just slap on the extensions and away I go.
