HUGE! October 9, 2008 This is a great watch with all the features. But if you have a small frame- thin wrist- like I do, the watch may look gigantic on you. Considering the diameter which is a little more than 2 inches, it is made for people weighing 150 lbs or more. If you are, get this watch!
BE CAREFUL WITH CASIO October 9, 2008 I have had a Casio watch for about a year and now the watchband needs replaced. I was informed by Walmart that they cannot replace a Casio watchband. I called Casio and they told me that as far as they know NO CASIO WATCHBAND CAN BE REPLACED BY A NORMAL WATCHBAND! I had to order a watchband from Casio and they had to know which model it was before I ordered it. Total price: $12.00 shipping, handling and sales tax included. I then asked the representative if instructions would be included because it was a different type of setup instead of pins. HE SAID THAT THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO RECOMMEND TAKING THE BAND TO A JEWELER TO HAVE IT PUT ON!! PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS AS BANDS DO NOT LAST FOREVER!!
Watches October 5, 2008 Excellent Watch! Does everything it says it can. Very easy to use buttons. A little more learn because of all the functions like changing the degrees from Farenheit to Celcius and vice versa.
Great little device September 15, 2008 My husband originally had a comparable Silva product which turned out to be defective (two different ones both got moisture under the face when he wore them out working in humid, not wet, conditions!). So I decided to get the Casio and he loves it. The readings are accurate and he does not have to carry the instruction book around -- very intuitive. We hike in the NYS Adirondacks so all the features are fun to play with.
GREAT WATCH August 12, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I AM A SKYDIVER, AND WAS LOOKING FOR A GOOD WATCH WITH LARGE ENOUGH DISPLAY WITH A BACK LIGHT MECHANISM SO I CAN VISUALIZE THE NUMBERS WITHOUT USING MY GLASSES, & THIS ONE WORKS OUT GREAT; THEN I DECIDED TO COMPARE THE ALTIMETER PORTION AGAINST THE PROFESSIONAL ALTIMETER; TURNS OUT ACCRUATE READINGS TO THE "T". I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY CASIO SEEMS TO WANT TO DEFLECT ANYONE FROM USING IT FOR SKYDIVING ( THIS IS WITH 3 TESTS AT DIFFERENT CONDITIONS, DAYS & TIME). FOR $130.00 NO ONE SHOULD COMPLAIN. IT CARRIES ACCRUATE TIME ALSO. THE ALTIMETER WORKS VERY PRECISE. MY ONLY CONCERN IS DURABILITY. LET'S SEE HOW LONG IT WILL LAST. I HAD A SEIKO WATCH THAT LASTED 25 YEARS WITHOUT A SINGLE PROBLEM, OR LOSING 1 SECOND OF TIME.
