Amazon.com Product Description A tried and true style great for casual wear, the Casio Classic black digital watch for men will help to ensure you won't miss another appointment again. It offers a daily alarm and hourly time signal (which can be turned off), as well as an auto-calendar function (pre-programmed until the year 2039). Additionally, it includes a stopwatch that can time events down to 1/100 of a second, and features a 60-minute capacity, split time, and 1st-2nd place times. The black resin case is matched to a gently tapered, nicely comfortable black resin strap. Other features include a 30-second accuracy per month, micro light for low-light conditions, scratch-resistant mineral crystal, and water resistance to 50 meters (165 feet)--suitable for swimming but not for diving.

Do not use in water October 6, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This watch should not be worn in water. I used it in a swimming pool twice and it got moisture inside and stopped working. I had a previous version of this watch for several years which was very water resistant and I had no problem with it, but I would not purchase the current version again.
men shouldn't wear jewelry September 30, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
you need to know what time/day it is. this watch answers that question. it also is priced incredibly reasonable and is very easy on the eyes.
i think guys that buy tricked out watches are ridiculous. spending $500+ or so dollars on a watch really says alot.
I like it September 23, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've never been a big fan of watches. I have crazy skinny wrists and every watch before, especially the "nicer" (which really means more expensive) ones would just slide up and down my arm.
The band on this watch is perfect and could probably fit around a babies wrist, or a really big dudes wrist. Not really, but close. It has all the reliability and function I need. I've only had it for about a week but it's already been submerged in water, smacked and what not and it's still perfect.
I really just want something to tell time. This does that, has a stopwatch and alarm and other basic features. This is a really comfortable watch and serves its purpose well. I think it was an excellent purchase. A great no nonsense, no frills watch.
too few features, some flaws September 12, 2008 I am very disappointed in this watch, the F-91W.
I have owned a different watch, the Casio W-71 for many years, and find it to be a versatile watch, but the band just broke (as they do after several years). I purchased the F-91W awhile back as a future replacement, but found it lacking seriously when I had to use it. I would have sent it back, but considering the cost of shipping, it was not worth it.
The features are scaled back compared to the W-71. There is no count-down timer, which I use almost daily. The button that cycles through the features goes through the "change time," making it easy to change the time by mistake. (The button layout is not convenient for someone who uses the different features multiple times daily, but I concede that may be my bias.) I also use the feature to set an alarm for a specific date (the one day I have to catch a plane at 6 am), so I do not forget and get awakened at 4 am for the next few days. There are more limitations and flaws in addition to these I have listed.
Pros: cheap its a Casio
Cons: too easy to change the time by mistake limted features no month on date, just the day (fine, my pet peeve) no count down timer single alarm mode (button layout not as easy to use)
The W-71 is about twice the cost, but well worth it. I am going to find a replacement band (or two) for my old one, and put this F-91W back in a drawer.
Spend the extra $10 for a much better watch. Stock up on replacement bands at Wal-Mart or such and it will last for many years.
Solid Watch September 6, 2008 Received this watch a few weeks ago and I am happy with it. I previously had many watches like this growing up so there is a nostalgia factor. I have other more expensive watches but find myself wearing this a lot.
PROS: Cheap, durable, no frills simple watch. CONS: the light function isn't very bright but will get the job done in the dark (and even low light). My previous one had a metal clasp (thing you fasten the band with) with the rubber band, this had a black plastic one, but its not a big deal.
