Editorial Reviews:

Amazon.com Product Description
Timex gives its signature Ironman Triathlon multi-function, performance sport watch a sleek new look that's a great fit for both men and women. Featuring a full complement of athletic timing features and a striking profile, the Timex Triathlon Sleek T5E511 has a metallic purple resin case that's complemented by a uniquely styled, slim profile gray and purple resin strap. It features three alarms that can be set for daily/weekday/weekend/weekly alarms, two time zones, an all-day white reflector display for easy reading even in direct sunlight, and water resistance to 100 meters. Sport timing functions include:
  • 100-hour chronograph with lap/split
  • On-the-fly recall of lap or split
  • Training log stores workouts by date, with best lap, average lap, and total segment time
  • Total run format/synchro timer maintains total activity time (less time paused during workout) and overall running time
  • Automatic interval repetition counter
  • Forward or backward setting
  • Built-in setting reminders
  • Top pusher for easy access to lap and split

The Indiglo night-light uniformly lights the surface of the watch dial using patented blue electroluminescent lighting technology. It uses less battery power than most other watch illumination systems, enabling your watch battery to last longer. The Night Mode feature allows you to illuminate the Indiglo night-light for 3 seconds with any button press, regardless of the mode or function.

3 out of 5 stars Good watch, but may leak   June 25, 2008
I bought this watch for my 12-year-old daughter about a year ago. It's been a good watch for her and she loves it. The lavender surround on the face has started peeling a bit, but it is barely noticable. Considering that my daughter wears this all day every day, I can't complain about the durability. One issue of concern was when my daughter wore the watch while swimming. She has done this on several occasions, but this time, some water leaked into the casing. This caused the inside of the "crystal" to fog up, water droplets to appear inside, and the display began to fade - as if the battery were weak. I opened the watch and dried off all visible moisture then let it sit open for a day. After reassembly, it worked fine. It hasn't been back in the pool yet, so we don't know if the leaking will be an ongoing problem.

5 out of 5 stars I love this!   June 20, 2008
I am training with my sister for a half marathon and needed a watch that would do internals, this watch works great for that! I have only used the clock, interval and timer and so far they are fabulous!

4 out of 5 stars Great, but don't expect it to last forever   June 3, 2008
I've had this watch for just under 18 months now and have been loving it. I haven't done as much outdoor activity with it as I would have liked, but mainly used the multiple timers and interval timers for reminders (for when I had my first child). I also LOVED the Indiglo night feature, but am saddened and a bit disappointed that that feature has now died completely and the warranty for the watch is only a year long. So the watch still works, but I can't use/see it at night or in any dim place (which is when I probably use it most). I'm hoping the repair cost will be cheaper (even with the shipping/handling fee) than buying a new one as I do really like this watch.

5 out of 5 stars Exactly what I was looking for in a watch   May 19, 2008
I must preface this review by saying that I don't swim wearing this watch, so water resistance is of little importance to me. I also take it off for contact sports (who wants to be rude enough to smack their partner in the face with a watch?), so I haven't really tested its shock resistance. That being said, the watch is comfortable to wear, easy to use, and has a good selection of features. I have had no trouble with buttons or straps wearing out or fading in color. The only thing that I would add would be another interval timer.

5 out of 5 stars Just what I wanted   May 17, 2008
This watch was just what I was looking for. It looks really good and the instructions are very easy to understand.
