I took a gamble, and it was perfect! August 28, 2008 Well folks, I took a bit of a gamble when ordering this frame bag since all those for sale here on Amazon are very unclear as to how big they are. Seeing as this one gave actual dimensions, it seemed quite reasonable (though if I remember right, it wasn't given as high of reviews and/or as many). One thing is for sure, I cannot STAND those below-seat bags... flopping all over the place, and obstructing my reflector. So a frame bag was my only option. This bag is perfect! It straps VERY securely to the bike, and the straps have a bit of flex to them to absorb some shock. Also, the upper and rear edge of the bag (opposite and adjacent sides for you geometry types) are made sturdy and supportive by an internal frame, linked by a sort of hinge that allows it to fit comfortably on most any bike. I can fit a 6 foot heavy duty bike lock cable into it by casually coiling it up. When I'm on the bike and looking down with the bag full of my cable, lock, wallet, and keys, the sides of the bag don't even protrude to the sides further then the frame. (All I see is the frame! And the two upper straps wrapping around them!) I once even rammed a tshirt along with all that and it handled it beautifully. Even with the bag empty, its secure and ridged enough that it wont blow around obnoxiously. I think it's about 13" x 9" x 1-1/2". My only qualm is a simple question: Why is the reflecting stripe only on one side?
good bag October 6, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
this bag fits nicely on my bike frame with its velcro straps (they hold up well!) and has some elasticity to it, so it can stretch a little bit when you try to jam a lot of stuff in there (keys, phone, wallet, etc.). Reflective striping is only on one side of the bag though... not sure why this is?
