This book goes to the heart of the exercise. September 2, 2007

People who know football will find all the stories that makes us fans. People who don't quite understand what the big deal is will discover the real reason for the game. Schembechler's experiences paint a rich and powerful view of what leadership at its best. The stories he tells go to the basic values of any successful enterprise. We often hear the common cliche " we need to return to the basic values and practices which made our organization successful." This book lays out those values and practices.
The sport fan will find Schembechler's stories compelling. The non-sport fan will find Bacon has laid out a blueprint for successful leadership practices. Both will find the book rewarding.

After Bo died, I thought I missed my chance to meet the man. Then, I read the book. I met Bo last week. He spoke to me about things I would never have thought to ask about. I laughed out loud. Then, I cried. It was a religious experience.
