5 out of 5 stars excellent   April 30, 2008
I loved this fast paced thrilling book. I could not put it down.
Makes you stop and think just what could happen.
I will buy the rest of the series for sure.
Ezek 38 and 39 come to life in a very near future. Russia and Iran, right out of todays media. Makes you wonder if God is trying to let mankind know what is ahead.

1 out of 5 stars Preposterous, preachy claptrap   April 3, 2008

I had hoped this book was a "DaVinci Code meets the Middle East Crisis." Instead, when the plot thickened, the sermonizing began and was so ridiculously religious that I could barely continue. Being part masochist, I read through to the end and encountered the most preposterous last 8 pages of a book I've ever been sickened to read. Go to a book store and read the last eight pages and see for yourself. PLEASE don't waste your money on this piece of preachy claptrap.

Brilliant biblical based thriller, makes you ask yourself questions !!! If you like this read SOFT TARGET by Conrad Jones its a real shocker. It questions your understanding of radical Islam and is a fantastic story. Both great books more please !!!

5 out of 5 stars The Ezekiel Option   January 14, 2008

The book The Ezekiel Option was an excellent book of fiction based on Biblical prophesy of Ezekiel 38, 39. Very well written and accurate as to the prophesies in the Bible, which I believe are true as the author does. I recommend this book, even for skeptics.

4 out of 5 stars Biblical Prophesy Paired With Potentially Viable Global Scenarios   January 14, 2008

The Ezekiel Option is a fast paced quick read that ties the views of many people regarding end times bible prophecy with potentially viable global political and military scenarios. Mr. Rosenberg's views of the end times appear to be similar to Dr. Tim LaHaye and Mr. Jerry Jenkins, which are portrayed in the bestselling Left Behind series and I think if you liked that series you will enjoy The Ezekiel Option.

I found especially interesting the role of Russia and Iran in Mr. Rosenberg's scenario of the War of Gog & Magog. The current political rumblings from Russia and Iran are woven throughout The Ezekiel Option and while many believed that after the cold war, Russia was no longer a threat and it was time for the United States to receive a peace dividend for winning, the current situations in Russia and Iran along with the rise of Islamofascism prove otherwise. Putin is consolidating power at an alarming rate with clear intentions of again putting Russia front and center of the world stage. While at the same time, Iran is forming alliances with Russia to help it build a supposed "peaceful" nuclear reactor. The role of the United Nations in The Ezekiel Option was also interesting and worth contemplation on how that entity could be used to shield evil intentions in a shroud of peace, especially regarding Israel.

The Ezekiel Option is the second book of Mr. Rosenberg's I have read and as I indicated in my review of The Copper Scroll, I believe it would be helpful and give more meaning to The Copper Scroll if The Ezekiel Option was read first. Given this fact I still believe The Ezekiel Option is a better book.
