Love that Mo Willems February 10, 2008 My daughter still really loves this book. It is part of a bedtime ritual that helps her get ready for bed. We read it really animated and all have fun with it. She can usually talk both of us into reading it. There's yawning and eye shutting and near the end we drop our voices and talk softly and she follows suit. All in all, a great fun and fast read. Just relax and let yourself have fun with putting your child to bed. Of course we own most of the pigeon books and the knuffle bunnies. Hardly a night goes by without at least one of them being read.
perfect negoitiator bed time book December 25, 2007 If you have or know of a child who loves to negotiate to stay up later, this is the perfect book. All the pidgeon series are great. I love them as an adult.
Quirky fun November 30, 2007 My daughter got this book from her Nana and has made us read it to her something close to a thousand times (I'm exaggerating, but not by much). It's not the typical children's book, Mo Willems writes a fun, quirky story. And if we do the voices, she laughs like crazy!!!
don't let the author... November 14, 2007 0 out of 10 found this review helpful
Don't let the author write another pigeon book. no MO please! My son told me, "Daddy, pigeons don't have long necks." he's right.
Another Great one from Mo Willems November 2, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
So I am an ornithophobiac, or have a phobia of birds, and pigeons happen to be about as bad as they come for me. However, Mo Willems has created one pigeon that is endearing for me and my three children. This book is as good as the other "pigeon" books. It makes the kids laugh, reminds me of all the excuses they make trying to stay up late and is a fun book to read to the kids. You can't go wrong with any of Willems books and this is not exception.
