Interesting read October 23, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Even if at the end reading of this you do not believe all that is put forward, it is worth the read just to stimulate the political discussion and where this country is headed. In the end worth the time needed to read and thought provoking.
Excellent Book October 21, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Ron Paul should be our next President of the United States IMHO. He is a true patriot and is not afraid to speak the truth. This book does not disappoint!
Full of Depth October 21, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The Manifesto manages to tackle some of the most complex problems the United States faces today with a great deal of depth, but still manages to be simple enough for anyone to understand. In the Manfiesto, Ron Paul shows a common sense approach for dealing with issues like healthcare, monetary policy, foreign policy, free markets, and how people of all different beliefs can coexist.
Perhaps, what is most impressive in Ron Paul's approach to government is that even when one has a different belief than Ron Paul, his strong support for freedom overpowers the conflict. So often, liberals and social conservatives argue over what the right direction is for the United States regarding issues like gay rights and abortion. Liberals tend to support the right to an abortion and push for acceptance of gays, people of color, and for others. Ironically though, neither group seems willing to accept each other. Ron Paul presents an interesting solution where the states and people of all different beliefs can decide what is right, not the federal government. What he presents may not be perfect from the view of each side, but may be the most feasible solution for peaceful coexistence. Amazingly, this is one of many of the issues Ron Paul tackles in the Manifesto.
Really really informative October 21, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
From someone who is interested in politics, but not nessisarily that informed, this book was a real eye opener. If you get your news from Fox or MSNBC you need to get this book to get an non-partisan common sense look at country from the eyes of someone who is more interested in our best interest than having his team win. The only bad thing I can think of is that it is at times a little hard to read because while it is short, it is so potent, you have to think about every statement. I have always considered myself as intelligent, however some of the language and concepts are really challenging. I would suggest taking your time, as reading it on one flight or long drive will rob you of much of the treasure contained in it. I honestly had no idea who Ron Paul even was before this election season, and now I am a born again beliver. I would highly recommend this for yourself or as a gift for anyone even remotely interested in politics.
This man should be the next President October 18, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Honest straight forward facts that have slowly eroded away this great country. These facts are coming from a man of great integrity that truely cares about the plight of the United States of America and for the average American citizen.
After reading this hopefully you will get connected with his Campain for Libertu and try to make a difference before it is to late.
