5 out of 5 stars I'm Satisfied   August 30, 2008
The product came in a timely manner and it works well for my father.
Thank you!

3 out of 5 stars Maybe not for African-American men   August 25, 2008
I purchased this for my husband and he has mixed feelings about this shaver. According to him, he has a lot more stubble left after a shave than with his old Remington. Granted the Remington was a dual foil as opposed to the single, but I wouldn't have thought it made that much difference. (Of course I'm a woman so what do I know about shaving facial hair?) Anyway, eventhough it's not as close a shave as he'd prefer, he likes the convenience of not having to charge it. When you're deployed, you're not always near an outlet. Overall he says it's ok, but perhaps would work best as a backup, especially if you have coarse facial hair.

5 out of 5 stars Inexpensive. Not cheap.   August 21, 2008

I was not expecting anything with this purchase. One of those things where it would be ok to lose, and not lose money. However, I actually feel like I should buy another for backup.

Everything about this shaver will exceed your expectations as well. The portability, the convenience, the design, quality, and more importantly, the function. I am a razor guy. But there are rare times I don't have time for that. So I just wanted a dry shaver backup... however, you can get this thing wet, take it apart and wash it etc. No wires. Two AA batteries. No case, with a sliding foil cover. And the simple setting of "on". It shaves close, and does it well. How long it will last, I have no idea. Blade replacement?... no clue. For this price, it does not matter. Get two.

5 out of 5 stars Perfect little shaver   August 14, 2008

Bought this little shaver several years ago in Berlin when BA lost my luggage in Heathrow. Still use it and love it. Use it for travel to bring in my carry-on luggage and still use it every day as it gets those areas which a large Panasonic (nice but more expensive) doesn't get. Only complaint: Replacement parts (foil and blade) cost as much as a new shaver. Not very sustainable for the environment but guess what. Ordered a new one and will keep the other one as backup/work shaver as it still works, only would like after 5 years or so to exchange the blade.

5 out of 5 stars It just works.   August 14, 2008

I use the shaver to shave my face and head. I have a mohawk with thick hair. I have light facial hair growth but THICK, COARSE, and rapid scalp growth. This single foil shaver simply gets the job done. If you can shave with an electric razor (some dudes can't) then this one will get the job done for you. It is waterproof and easy to clean. I originally purchased this for travel use but now use it daily for over a month now.

Pros: you can use your own rechargeable batteries. I use 2000mah AA NiMH and the charge lasts over a week for shaving both face AND scalp (minus the strip down the middle). This is more shaving time during a week than most men will use. I can imagine getting 2 weeks of shaving on a charge if only shaving the face alone. Alkaline batteries also work well, however the lower voltage rechargeable batteries still provide the power to shave smoothly.

Cons: There seems to be no replacement foil or blade assemblies for this shaver...but at the cost they are selling the whole shaver I can see why. The only other deficit is a the crudeness of the trimmer...however my other shaver, a high end rechargeable Braun, is not much better.

I will buy this shaver again.
