wacky binding order January 18, 2007 2 out of 6 found this review helpful
I received this book on time, etc. One thing. The bookbinder had placed a group of pages out of order?! Regardless, the overall content of this book is educational and logical. I recommend it for anyones library.

This is an outstanding field guide because of its many pictures.
Sibley Guide is excellent January 3, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have used the Sibley Guide to Birds for over a year. In my opinion it is the best bird guide on the market. All of the people I know who work in the avian field have recommended it as their first choice. This year I purchased this guide as Christmas gifts for friends and family who also enjoy bird watching and have enjoyed looking through my copy of the guide.
Very Good Bird Book November 10, 2006 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
This guide is very thorough in the characteristics of each species. When I ordered the book, I was curious about some birds that appeared around the new apartment complex that I now live in. It didn't take long to find them. Thanks to Mr. Sibley, this is a resource book that I will keep within easy reach.
Outstanding November 7, 2006 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
Sibley's book is as much a work of art as a first class field guide. The plates are rich in detail and provide accurate identification aides, proper colors and black and white profiles for identifying birds in the air. A very useful book as well as enjoyable for its art work. I keep a copy on my desk at work and travel with another copy close by.
