This book is very compact and the images of good quality. It is a lot smaller than I expected, though. Each page features one fish variety, with a photo and some basic info. The amount of information that fits onto such a tiny page is very limited. Despite the small size, the book is hardcover, thick and heavy and does not qualify as a pocket guide. I don't quite get what the idea was here : it is neither pocketguide, nor large glossy reference/ coffee table book. If I had actually seen the book before purchase, I would not have bought it...

I have been searching high and low for a book on only freshwater fish, and here it is! the information is valuable, the pictures are great, and they have a ton of fish in it!
I havent found a book in any store that even compares to this.
I highly reccomend it to anyone that owns, or wants to own, freshwater fish!

El libro es interesante y vale la pena adquirirlo, tiene informacion sobre diversas especies de peces, debidamente clasificados, trae un indice por nombre comun y otro por nombre cientifico. Lamentablemente el formato es muy pequeno (mas o menos media carta), por esa razon las fotos igualmente resultan pequenas, trae una foto por cada especie y alguna informacion un tanto superficial. Profundiza un poco en algunas de las mas comerciales, por ejemplo carassius, koi, betta sin llegar a suficiente profundidad. El libro no es suficientemente claro en cuanto a los requerimientos de los peces sobre calidad del agua (PH, GH, Luz, etc) y pasa por alto esta informacion en la mayoria de especies simplemente argumentando que no es muy exigente en cuanto a la calidad del agua.

This is an awsome book with plenty of great pictures in it. Has lots of fish details that i didn't think would be in it. I only wish it had more fish in it.

It's a great book with great pictures. Good for quick visual reference on different types of fish and a few details about behavior, diet and aquarium. I recommend it!
