Only for beginners - even at the final phase June 16, 2008 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
I must admit, i was excited to learn about this book at first. Why you ask? I did the LL cool J workout twice and got amazing results. However, it was time for a change. I got this book the other day and was very disappointed.
Before I picked up the LL Cool J workout book, i was already fully aware of how to workout, how to eat.. yada yada yada. I have been working out for years prior to buying the book. But i was bored with what i have been doing. The book gave me something to follow, a streamlined plan of what to do, why to do it. It started off a little easy in the beginning, then got challenging, then very challenging.. just what i needed to vamp up my workout. after 20 hard weeks, i was able to pick a pair of weeks here and there from the workout until deciding to just do it all over again.. it much harder the second time around :)
so, enough of the LL cool J workout. The AC slater workout just seems too simple. it is possibly good for beginners, however, i think after a beginner becomes advanced, the book will not be benefical anymore. the workouts are too sport specific, and after 6 weeks i don't see where you can improve.
i gave the book two stars because of the good meal plans and the pictures of Katrina :)
in short
-the LL cool J book is great for beginners and will make someone who has never picked up a weight learn the moves correctly and soar from week to week..
-the AC slater book is great for beginners, but is impractical for overall muscular development because it is just too sport specific
in any case.. remember working out is only 30% of the road to a great body, you gotta eat right to look tight!

One my friend told me that he read book of Mario Lopez - Knockout Fitness. And he told me that I should read it. On Amazon.com I found this book and shortly recieve it with courier. It's the best book about training and health eating!

Never got around to reading the meat of the book, I have been too busy drooling over the pictures. : ).. From what I can tell the workout plans seem decent and the diet is typical, nothing new.. But the pictures are worth every penny paid for this book.
One word to describe this... May 15, 2008 5 out of 25 found this review helpful
H O T. Hot body. Hot face. Hot-ness. Good pictures, well written and inspiring. Easy to follow format, tons of eye candy.
