5 out of 5 stars Just Simply a Delisious Book   January 28, 2007

This novel is bound to captivate any reader who enjoys drama, suspense, and adventure. Ms. Meyer merges love, lust and seduction into a romantic fantasy that's sure to keep you glued to each page! I tend not to be a fan of vampire stories but this book was one I couldn't down. Stephanie Meyer truly has the ability to keep her readers on the edges of their seats and she uses plenty of danger and excitement to do it. New Moon is eloquently written and is a silky and smooth read. I give this novel five stars and I give my thanks to Stephanie Meryers for providing me with two days of danger, romance, cliff-hanging suspense, and adventure!

5 out of 5 stars Another Good One   January 27, 2007

I have really fallen in love with this series by Stephenie Meyer. It is really great atmospheric writing. I live in the rainy Northwest and found myself nodding while reading descriptions of the area around Forks. Its easy to relate to the misery of the weather as well as the magic of the beauty. The characters are endearing and alluring. I found my initial disappointment (at Edward's abscence)quickly overcome as I was drawn again into Bella's life and new friendship with Jacob. I am eagerly awaiting the next installment.

5 out of 5 stars Just as GREAT as the first   January 27, 2007

It was sad at couple parts but it was still really good. This time they're more problems making an assurance for a third book.i kept reading it over again and again. All the specific details make a great 8 hour movie in my head, this book is just too good. but still the vampire sun thing is kinda unusual.

5 out of 5 stars Great character development and emotion   January 27, 2007

I'm an adult reading this series, but I'm impressed at how well Stephenie Meyer captures that teenager angst. I know other reviewers say this second novel was a bit too light on the vampires, but I think it was a great way (and possibly the only way?) for Bella to really get to know Jacob and introduce the whole werewolf side of things, and I LOVE how Jacob's character develops.

If you're a fan of the first book, then you just HAVE to read the second one - and no, Edward doesn't just disappear completely, so you'll get your fix eventually. But the emotional side of this one, such as Bella's depression and Jacob's constantly changing and confused self, are very well-written and engaging. The end will leave you wishing the next book was already out on the shelves, guaranteed. (Well, in this reviewer's mind, anyway....)
