Great book!!! June 10, 2008 Answers all questions including the scary "Why does my brand new baby stop breathing for what seems like an eternity?"
what to expect book June 8, 2008 this is a must have book for every new mom. great information that is easy to understand
A gift to my sister ! May 26, 2008 I bought it as a gift for my sister on her early month of pregnancy. She loved reading it all along her 9 month, it kept her informed of all the process and she felt more secure of all the feelings and changes in her body during her first pregnancy. She said it was very easy to read, even though english is our second language.
Expect the unexpected May 26, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Honestly, I despise this book. I hate it even more than I hated, if this is even possible, _What to Expect When You're Expecting_. The cheesy puns, the creepy warnings, the annoying tone, the misogynistic philosophy (Lose weight! Pleasure your husband! Go to work if you must but if you do...! Breastfeed! Pump at work! Let your whole life revolve around your baby!)
But I also really love to hate this book and have had some great times doing so, as I am certain other parents have. The passages on sex are hilarious and make me believe, almost, that this book was written by aliens for aliens trying to pass as humans who have just given birth. I also find the breast-pumping at work stuff amusing.
Really helpful advice, though? Not so much.
Very helpful May 20, 2008 This book is great for any mom, but especially a first time mom. My son is 2 months old now and I've found so many answers to my questions in this book!
