5 out of 5 stars Confirmation   October 23, 2008
I really enjoyed the book. We recently got a very active golden retriever puppy and after reading about Marley I realized that Cosmo wasn't that bad after all!!!!

5 out of 5 stars Loving a Lab is not always easy!   October 23, 2008
This book was given to me as a joke really. Afterall, I have the world's worst dog! Marley & Me is a MUST for any dog lover, especially if you have ever owned a Lab. I laughed aloud many, many times throughout this book, and found it very hard to put down. A wonderful story of love, frustration, and man's best friend. A great gift!

4 out of 5 stars Everyone Has Them   October 15, 2008

Everyone has that one dog that cannot be controled. For John Grogan, that dog was Marley. I thought that this book was good because we can all relate to his story. The dog that rips up the furniture, or cannnot be trained. This is the story of a man and his dog, and how things change throughout life. Marley was spunky as a pup, but he soon became old,as everyone does. This book had me in tears. I felt like I knew Marley and John personally and I felt the anger, laughter, love, and everything in between. This is a great book for anybody who has or had the love of a dog. This book definitly hit home for me, and I hope you like it also.

5 out of 5 stars Very Good and Touching Book   October 7, 2008
I really enjoyed this book and I would recommend it to any animal lover. This a very, very good story of owning an pet and all the love, aggravation and heartbreak that usually comes with having one. The movie is coming out in December of 2008.

5 out of 5 stars EVERYBODY LOVES MARLEY   October 3, 2008
After reading so many crime novels, murder mysteries and chillers, I decided to purchase some "lite" reading for my daily three hour round trip commuter train ride. This book conjured up so many emotions it was at times impossible to contain myself. Anyone who has owned a dog for any amount of time can identify with this book. I have owned a Boxer named Max for the last 10 years and I can see Marley in him. John Grogan did an excellent job in writing about his relationship with his dog. I found myself laughing out loud at some of the antics of Marley and as I neared the final chapters I found myself getting a little "misty" eyed.... O.K....I cried. In part for John and Marley and in part for my own dopey, loveable and at times crazed Max. For me, any author who can bring out emotions in me, has a fan for life.I highly recommend this book for anyone who has yet to read it, who is thinking about owning a dog and for anyone who has a four legged best friend.
