Deen Brothers Cookbook February 27, 2008 I loved this cookbook. It has great photos and includes many recipes that you can do on your own at home! Highly recommended for those who want to venture out of the same old cooking routine!
Good Cookin February 15, 2008 This is a great book, I have not read it all the way through but the recipes sound great, I love the Deen Family.
Dont let the title fool you! February 7, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I feel duped! I bought this book because I thought the recipes were a collection from the various places they visited across the US not inspired creations by Jamie and Bobbie. After all, the front cover does say "Recipes from the Road" does it not? Kind of misleading isnt it? Come on guys.
Bobby & Jamie's winner February 5, 2008 I love Paula Deen and her boys. I bought Jamie & Bobby's book thinking that the recipes would be full of ingredients I couldn't find or professional techniques I couldn't do at home. Was I happily surprised to discover that these recipes are their take on the professional ones. I LOVE THE BOOK, and I hope they put out another one. The only improvement would be if they had signed it. Go Boys! Make your Mamma proud again!
Two books does not equal one book January 30, 2008 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
While the Deen brothers' cookbook is indeed well produced, well designed and fun to read, it is a bit of a tease. The folks the brothers visited for their Food Network show get a lovely page or two, but the recipes that follow are most definitely not theirs. Who wants to make Jamie and Bobby's mini whoopie pies when previously our mouths were watering reading about Amy Bouchard's? Something is just odd about it. In all there were about six recipes I thought worth trying.
